Occupational
Therapy
At Kingwood Speech, our Occupational therapy (OT) team focuses on pediatrics. We help children develop the skills they need to grow, learn, play, and thrive in everyday life. Our patients are children who may have developmental delays, physical disabilities, sensory processing issues, or behavioral challenges. The goal is to support each child’s ability to participate in daily activities such as dressing, eating, writing, playing, and attending school. Our occupational therapists use play-based and developmentally appropriate interventions to improve fine motor skills, coordination, self-care abilities, and social interaction.
We make collaborate with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals a priority to create individualized treatment plans that make a difference in the functional day to day life of each child. These plans are designed not only to address specific deficits but also to build on a child’s strengths, promote greater independence, and develop confidence. We measure success through functional outcomes that make meaningful improvements in a child's everyday life and routines.
